蝌蚪是如何變成青蛙的呢？
青蛙的生長過程中，由青蛙交配後產下卵（egg），卵孵化成用鰓呼吸的蝌蚪（tadpole）。蝌蚪長出後腿再長出前腿，成為長腿的蝌蚪（tadpole with legs），四條腿完全長出後，尾巴萎縮變短，進入幼蛙階段（froglet），等尾巴完全消失後的成蛙（adult frog），可用肺呼吸、在陸地活動，並以昆蟲為食。
